Dr Shazril Imran is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist and Radiotherapist. Practising in Gleneagles Penang and its sister hospital Pantai Hospital Sungai Petani, Dr Imran aims to bring up-to-date scientifically
evidence-based cancer treatment. Dr Imran is also a honorary consultant in Oncology with Universiti Sains Malaysia.

Professional Journey
Prior to joining the IHH Group in 2016, Dr Imran served as an Oncologist and Medical Lecturer in oncology at the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Penang and Kelantan campus. Dr Imran then joined the IHH Group to setup the first cancer centre in Kedah state. Despite joining the IHH Group and serving Gleneagles Hospital Penang and Pantai Hospital Sungai Petani, Dr Imran maintains his passion in academia as the Honorary Consultant in Oncology University Sains Malaysia and actively involved in teaching Masters and PhD students, involving in cancer research and education. Dr Imran has publications in peer reviewed journals and regularly delivers educational and healh talks nationally and internationally. Dr Imran is also the principal investigator for several Oncology Clinical Trials.

Dr. Imran
Dr Shazril Imran earned his medical degree from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom.
He underwent his oncology training at The Christie School of Oncology, Manchester, and had the experience to work in reputable cancer centres in Manchester and London.
Dr Imran is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists London (FRCR) and holds the Specialty Certificate in Medical Oncology from Federations of Royal College of Physicians United Kingdom.
He is the member of European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) and European Society of Radiation Oncology (ESTRO). He is also a member of Academy of Medicine, Malaysia.
