Dr. Shazril Imran is a proud member of esteemed organizations such as the European Society of Radiation Oncology (ESTRO), the Academy of Medicine Malaysia, and the Malaysian Oncological Society. He is formally registered with the National Specialist Register and is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of professional practice.

Academic Contributions

Dr. Shazril Imran's dedication to oncology extends beyond clinical practice. He is an honorary consultant in Oncology at Universiti Sains Malaysia, co-supervising PhD and Masters students, and participating in postgraduate training. He is a respected trainer for the National Parallel Pathway Clinical Oncology Programme and has been a Member of the Clinical Oncology Specialty Committee Meeting at the University of Malaya. Additionally, he has chaired USM's International Oncology Symposium twice.

Professional Journey

Prior to joining the IHH Group in 2016, Dr. Shazril Imran was an Oncologist and Medical Lecturer at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Penang and Kelantan campus. He then became the Resident Oncologist and Head of Oncology Services at Pantai Hospital Sungai Petani, where he was instrumental in establishing the first cancer center in Kedah. Additionally, Dr. Imran served as a Sessional Oncologist at Pantai Hospital Penang and a Visiting Oncologist at Gleneagles Hospital Penang.

Education and Training

Dr. Shazril Imran earned his undergraduate medical degree from the prestigious University of Leicester, United Kingdom. He then pursued advanced postgraduate training in clinical oncology at The Christie School of Oncology, Manchester, where he was awarded Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists London and Specialty Certificate in Medical Oncology from the Royal Colleges of Physicians UK. His extensive training included invaluable experience at leading oncology centers in Manchester and London.
